IM and E Technician

Location: Vicinity Baltimore, 1400 Ridgely St, Baltimore, Maryland, United States; onsite work at Baltimore plant sites with rotating shifts, mandatory overtime, and weekend, back-shift, and holiday on-call rotations.

Salary: $44.77 per hour plus a 10% bonus target.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and equipment used in boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, and other plant systems.
• Clean, inspect, test, repair, and calibrate electrical, electronic, pneumatic, computerized, and programmable control systems.
• Install and program electronic instruments, sensing elements, wiring, tubing, fittings, and power-switching equipment.
• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical power supplies, control circuits, instrumentation, metering, motors, circuit breakers, and transformers.
• Create and update diagrams, drawings, plans, work orders, and maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance, follow environmental and safety requirements, and support plant operations during assigned shifts and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Technical or trade school degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent industry training and experience.
• At least 2 years of progressive technician experience in a central plant, power generation facility, or process plant.
• Understanding of electrical safety and LOTO procedures, technical manuals, logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings, process flow diagrams, and control and instrumentation diagrams.
• Ability to work independently, perform basic computer operations, and use email.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, climb and tolerate heights up to 100 feet, and tolerate heat in an industrial production plant.
• Valid driver license in good standing and a driving record meeting company standards.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with refrigeration and thermodynamics.
