Product Manager (Health)

Location: Redmond, Washington, United States; the salary range also specifies San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area work locations.

Salary: USD $142,800–$274,800 per year; USD $188,000–$304,200 per year for specified San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.

What you will do

• Partner with health engineering, product, and clinical stakeholders on privacy decisions across product experiences, user flows, defaults, and sensitive data use.
• Define and prioritize privacy controls for health AI scenarios and translate them into engineering requirements.
• Lead privacy design reviews covering data handling, model behavior, transparency, and user choice.
• Own data governance across collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion.
• Monitor health and data policy developments and drive product, control, and experience changes.
• Improve privacy programs through repeatable patterns, tooling recommendations, governance, metrics, and engineering enablement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in product, service, or program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.
• 4+ years of practical experience creating and maintaining compliance programs and conducting privacy reviews.
• Experience translating privacy and policy requirements into shipped product controls with engineering partners.
• Health data, privacy, policy, or governance expertise, including familiarity with HIPAA, GDPR, and similar regulations.
• Experience with privacy engineering practices such as data-flow mapping, data classification, consent infrastructure, threat modeling, DSR tooling, retention enforcement, and telemetry governance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience leading privacy or compliance engineering programs for AI/ML products or data-intensive platforms at scale.
• IAPP CIPP or CIPM certification.
• Experience leading ambiguous cross-functional projects and influencing senior leaders without authority.
• Experience managing scope, schedule, and budget for medium-to-large projects.
