Engineering Procurement Specialist

Location: Merrimack, New Hampshire, United States; onsite role with approximately 10%–20% domestic travel

Salary: $60,635.27–$90,952.90 per year, plus potential annual incentive and/or long-term incentives

What you will do

• Source mechanical, electrical, and custom-engineered components using drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
• Manage supplier quotations, lead times, technical questions, and schedule commitments.
• Coordinate procurement, tracking, and kitting for prototype builds and development milestones.
• Partner with design engineers to validate part selections, specification compliance, and design-for-sourcing improvements.
• Research alternate suppliers and components to reduce obsolescence, lead-time, and cost risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, sourcing, and operations to resolve procurement issues and improve processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, procurement documents, and supplier correspondence.
• Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and prioritization skills in a project-driven environment.
• Ability to evaluate cost, lead time, and technical requirements to make sourcing decisions and resolve issues.
• Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; ability to travel domestically 10%–20% and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related technical field.
• Experience with engineering development, prototyping, or full project lifecycle activities.
• Familiarity with algebraic and statistical concepts for cost modeling and sourcing analysis.
