Senior Finance Manager, Product & Engineering

Location: San Francisco, US (Hybrid)

Total target cash compensation: $191,000–$287,000 USD annually, including base and variable compensation.

What you will do

• Own OpEx and headcount budgets across Product, Engineering, and Design, aligning investment with company strategy, efficiency, and margin targets.
• Build bottoms-up workforce planning models by function and level, and sequence hiring with roadmap, compliance, and operational requirements.
• Forecast cloud hosting, AI and compute usage, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems costs.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, capitalizable versus expensed R&D, and vendor investments using ROI and long-term cost analysis.
• Lead monthly budget-versus-actuals reviews, automate reporting, improve accrual accuracy, and surface actionable financial insights.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance at a high-growth technology company.
• Experience partnering with Engineering leaders and supporting technical teams and corporate functions.
• Strong understanding of cloud economics, AI and compute scaling, enterprise tooling, SaaS cost drivers, and infrastructure investment decisions.
• Experience building complex headcount models and scenario-driven financial models with sensitivity analysis.
• Strong analytical judgment, executive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently through ambiguity.
