Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; hybrid working with in-person collaboration and remote work. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available where applicable.

Salary: $209,700–$238,250 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own full-stack projects from problem definition and technical design through implementation, deployment, and production operation.
• Build reliable deployment workflows for software, AI models, and vehicle configuration, including ordering, correctness, and rollback.
• Develop services connecting autonomous vehicles with external dispatch systems for robotaxi and remote autonomous operations.
• Create APIs and web interfaces for vehicle-state visibility, diagnostics, telemetry exploration, and operational reporting.
• Partner with Product, Research, Safety, Operations, SRE, and Infrastructure teams to deliver dependable fleet systems.
• Review code, contribute to architecture and planning, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• Experience building, shipping, and operating production full-stack applications and web services.
• Hands-on knowledge across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with understanding of APIs, data modeling, service boundaries, and distributed-system failure modes.
• Ability to independently take ambiguous problems through technical design, delivery, and ongoing operation.
• Experience using metrics, logs, and traces to understand production behavior and guide technical decisions.
• Clear communication across engineering, product, and operational teams, along with an interest in mentoring.
• Relevant technologies include React, TypeScript, MUI, Rust, Go, Node, Kubernetes, Azure, and Bazel; prior experience with this exact stack is not required.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, autonomous driving, robotaxi operations, telemetry pipelines, OTA deployment, remote device management, or multi-OEM environments.
