Salary: Expected full-time base salary of $135,000+ per year

What you will do

• Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge, overseeing licensure, controlled substances, regulatory inspections, and pharmacy compliance.
• Lead daily pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, dispensing accuracy, patient safety, drug storage, and security.
• Manage audits, records, regulatory responses, quality improvement, recalls, procurement, and temperature-sensitive inventory.
• Supervise and train pharmacists, technicians, and support staff while maintaining quality and continuing education standards.
• Collaborate with providers and clinic staff on specialty medication outcomes, formulary optimization, therapeutic substitution, and coordinated patient care.
• Support patient counseling, benefits investigation, prior authorizations, financial assistance, appeal letters, and pharmacy workflow development.

Requirements

• Leadership experience in a pharmacy; Pharmacist-in-Charge experience is preferred.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent advanced degree.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license eligible for Pharmacist-in-Charge appointment in North Carolina.
• Experience with specialty medication benefits investigation, prior authorization, financial assistance, and patient access support.
• Knowledge of specialty medications and proficiency with pharmacy software such as QS1, ComputerRx, PioneerRx, or WAM.
• Strong organization, documentation, communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner, or NextGen.
• Experience with specialty pharmacy systems such as Therigy, Asembia1, or ScriptMed.
• Familiarity with therapeutic areas beyond current experience.
