Radar Lead (Automotive)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; full-time hybrid role with regular work in the office, vehicle workshops, and labs.

Annual base salary: $314,700–$408,100 USD.

What you will do

• Integrate high-quality radar sensor data into the autonomous driving model.
• Monitor automotive radar and signal-processing developments and maintain an internal view of the competitive landscape.
• Define radar data quality guidelines covering calibration, noise reduction, resolution, and range, velocity, and angular accuracy.
• Provide radar expertise for sensor integration, debugging, and processing across different radar types.
• Build test frameworks and experiments to assess radar inputs under adverse weather, occlusion, and clutter.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and model development teams to improve radar data processing and collection strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience with automotive radar technologies and integration into software-driven systems.
• Strong experience in radar data quality control, calibration, resolution, noise handling, and accuracy analysis.
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating how sensor characteristics affect model performance.
• Clear communication of complex technical topics to stakeholders with different technical backgrounds.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, and model development teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in Sunnyvale, California, USA.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• Experience in ADAS or autonomous vehicle environments.
