Mechanical Technician (Heavy Equipment)

Location: Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States. Onsite, first shift Monday–Friday, 06:00 a.m.–02:00 p.m. CST. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $25.73–$33.08 per hour, paid weekly, including shift differential.

What you will do

• Safely assemble heavy paving equipment according to model pictures and build instructions.
• Use mechanical tools, torque tools, metric units, hydraulics, and electrical components within allotted process times.
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, hoists, and other equipment while working at multiple heights and in tight spaces.
• Identify, electronically document, and communicate discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Recommend solutions and support daily initiatives focused on safety, quality, velocity, and cost.
• Work with limited supervision while following required personal protective equipment and safety procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in mechanics, assembly, heavy equipment assembly, or a technical/manufacturing program.
• Mechanical aptitude from personal or professional experience must be described in the application.
• Experience with mechanical tools, torque tools, crane equipment, hydraulics, and electrical components is preferred.
• Intermediate or greater proficiency with electronic and digital devices.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently, stand for 8-hour shifts, climb, kneel, squat, crawl, and work in awkward or tight spaces.
• Successful completion of background, drug, and post-offer medical screenings is required.

Nice to have

• At least 6 months of hirify.global paving experience.
• Heavy assembly, manufacturing machine, hirify.global manufacturing, or automotive experience.
• Good communication skills.
