Mechanic Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Menomonie, Wisconsin, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Reliable transportation to Menomonie or relocation before starting is required. The role may include up to 5% domestic travel.

Starting pay: $37.53–$39.05 per hour, depending on experience, with a $2.00 per hour night-shift differential and double-time pay on Sundays.

What you will do

• Follow safe work practices, identify hazards, and support a strong environmental health and safety culture.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems on slitters, extruders, web systems, conveyors, winders, compressors, and pumps.
• Machine and fabricate parts, including welding and brazing.
• Rig and tram equipment and perform general building repairs.
• Recommend equipment improvements to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Document completed work in an electronic logbook and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical maintenance or an electro-mechanical field, or be within six months of completing one; alternatively, a technical diploma plus at least two years of maintenance experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus at least five years of maintenance or mechanic experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Reliable transportation to Menomonie, Wisconsin, or relocation before starting; relocation assistance is not available.
• Completion of an in-person, job-related readiness assessment.
• Ability to work a structured rotating schedule with day, afternoon, and night shifts.
• Self-motivated, dependable, team-oriented, and able to communicate with a diverse audience.

• Experience with manufacturing technology and web process equipment.
