Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, USA; onsite at a manufacturing facility. Travel up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Manage the facility environmental, health, and safety program and support a safe, healthy work environment.
• Monitor and report compliance with OSHA, EPA, Wisconsin DNR, DOT, and local regulations.
• Lead hazardous waste reduction, recycling initiatives, environmental monitoring, and permit application support.
• Plan and conduct training, inspections, audits, reporting, and recordkeeping for EHS compliance programs.
• Perform facility inspections and job safety analyses, recommend corrective actions, and implement workplace controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pursue zero incidents and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience implementing occupational safety and environmental programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Wisconsin DNR, DOT, local regulations, safety equipment, and safety standards.
• Experience with ergonomic analysis, emergency action planning, inspections, reporting, and compliance recordkeeping.
• Ability to influence teams and management, communicate effectively, and manage shifting priorities.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment and comply with facility PPE requirements.

Nice to have

• Degree in occupational safety, engineering, or a related science.
• Corporate safety experience in a manufacturing company.
• Experience implementing ISO, VPP, or similar safety programs.
• Experience using SAP or an equivalent ERP system.
