Staff Controls Engineer (PLC)

What you will do

• Design, validate, and bring new power-control products to market.
• Develop functional requirements, control designs, tests, integrations, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Perform control design and tuning, simulation development, PLC programming, and electrical system integration.
• Create and execute fitness-for-use testing, product validation plans, and design verification activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to improve manufacturability.
• Support product schedules and costs while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise in control algorithms for power-control and power-management applications.
• Experience with closed-loop tuning, stability analysis, and performance optimization.
• Experience with model-based design, high-fidelity simulations, automated design verification, and production-ready code generation.
• Experience developing and executing testing and validation plans, including HIL/SIL, bench testing, system testing, and fault injection.

Nice to have

• Experience with new product design and development, machine design, and SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Participation in technical communities related to industry standards or regulations.
• Strong written communication, presentation, and technical translation skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
