Associate Director, NPPA, Thought Leader Liaison, Immunology - West

Location: United States; San Diego, California; San Francisco, California; Phoenix, Arizona. Field-based role supporting an assigned western U.S. geography with approximately 50–75% travel, including overnight travel and major medical congresses.

Salary: USD $211,800–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop strategic engagement plans and trusted relationships with Dermatology Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant thought leaders.
• Identify and cultivate emerging APP leaders, educators, researchers, and high-impact community practitioners.
• Support APP educational initiatives, speaker programs, advisory boards, roundtables, congresses, and other compliant scientific engagements.
• Generate field insights on clinical practice, treatment decisions, patient management, unmet needs, and barriers to care.
• Translate clinical evidence and expert perspectives into educational opportunities and strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Training, Clinical Development, and other functions while maintaining separation between promotional and unbranded activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced clinical or relevant graduate degree is preferred.
• Understanding of Dermatology clinical practice, treatment decision-making, and the role of APPs in patient care.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior healthcare professionals and thought leaders.
• Strong presentation, communication, facilitation, clinical synthesis, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations and work effectively across functions.

Nice to have

• Active Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/PA-C license with at least 3 years of clinical practice.
• Established relationships within the Dermatology NP/PA community.
• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in Dermatology, Immunology, Allergy, Medical Affairs, MSL, Thought Leader Liaison, Professional Relations, or Clinical Education.
• Experience with APP speakers, faculty, educational programs, advisory boards, product launches, or professional organizations.
