Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineering (Manufacturing)

Salary: $63,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, optimize, and enhance manufacturing methods, automated production processes, and assembly techniques.
• Develop manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, routings, and SOPs, and train production teams.
• Provide daily engineering support to resolve quality issues, increase capacity, improve yield, and support on-time delivery.
• Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action activities.
• Support new product introduction through FMEAs, control plans, qualification testing, and validation data analysis.
• Manage engineering projects, equipment upgrades, tooling and fixture design, ROI analyses, material disposition, audits, and quality-system compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or related engineering is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Manufacturing-environment experience or hands-on experience with processes, equipment, or assembly operations is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering recommendations.
• Experience with automated production machinery, process monitoring, equipment optimization, and fixture or tool design.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, use hand tools and measuring equipment, and work with required PPE or cleanroom attire.

Nice to have

• Experience with contamination control, cleanroom assembly, or semiconductor standards.
• Proficiency in DOE, SPC, capability studies, FMEA, audits, structured problem-solving, and value-stream mapping.
• Lean Manufacturing certification or Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Experience with NPI, validation or qualification testing, and engineering project management.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems such as SAP.
