is an independent asset management and servicing platform for residential and commercial solar energy portfolios, providing operations and maintenance, customer billing and support, asset performance management, and investor reporting.
What you will do
- Lead negotiation and drafting of asset management, commercial, project, SaaS, licensing, vendor, and SREC purchase and sale agreements.
- Build standardized contract templates, fallback positions, playbooks, and approval workflows.
- Design internal deal processes from term sheet through closing, including diligence, approvals, and risk assessment checklists.
- Partner with operations, finance, senior leadership, the General Counsel, and the Board to translate legal advice into practical business processes.
- Advise on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, entity and subsidiary matters, resolutions, Board materials, and corporate records.
- Support M&A, joint ventures, investments, due diligence, integration, deal structuring, and risk allocation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- 7–12+ years of legal experience, with law firm and in-house experience strongly preferred.
- Significant experience with renewable energy or solar project finance, asset management, or infrastructure transactions.
- Experience with U.S. federal and state regulatory compliance; FERC and NERC experience is helpful.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, project management, and program-building skills.
- Ability to integrate legal advice with practical business requirements and build a commercial legal function.
