Construction Lead (Energy)

Location: In-person in San Francisco, California or Texas, with significant time on job sites.

What you will do

• Establish and lead the construction function for utility-scale energy projects.
• Select and manage EPC and GC partners from project execution through energization.
• Define how construction teams organize, what work is owned directly, and where external partners are used.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction around one plan and schedule.
• Lead from the field, make rapid decisions, and manage schedule and execution risk.
• Identify repetitive construction work that can be automated with AI.

Requirements

• Responsible leadership experience on multiple large capital projects that were completed, from groundbreaking through energization.
• Engineering background.
• Hands-on builder and field leader comfortable spending substantial time on job sites.
• Experience selecting and managing EPC and GC partners and holding them accountable to project schedules.
• Experience in utility-scale energy, gas generation, data centers, or comparable heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco, California or Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility-scale gas generation projects, including simple-cycle, combined-cycle, or reciprocating-engine projects.
