Risk Analyst II (Fintech)

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $101,000–$119,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation.

What you will do

• Review and approve new merchant applications, including Know Your Customer and anti-money laundering checks.
• Analyze flagged transactions, alerts, and merchant transaction histories to assess risk and recommend payment-processing limits.
• Support the development and improvement of fraud detection and risk management systems and tools.
• Manage inquiries and requests from customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with Onboarding, Customer Support, and external payment-processing partners.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in payments, underwriting, transaction monitoring, customer support, fraud, or risk management.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, decision-making, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Sheets.
• Familiarity with merchant-processing platforms, card-brand rules, PCI compliance, and credit-card processing statements.
• Ability to communicate directly with customers by email or phone and work autonomously in a digitally connected environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, Tableau, or Sigma.
