AML Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Riga, Latvia; hybrid work with the ability and willingness to work from the Riga office required

Salary: €2,600–€3,500 gross per month

International payment processing company providing payment acquiring, BIN sponsorship, white-label card issuing, and digital banking infrastructure for merchants, fintechs, and banks.

What you will do

• Conduct KYC/CDD checks and onboard new corporate and B2B clients.
• Review corporate structures, UBOs, and client documentation.
• Perform client risk assessments and risk classification.
• Monitor existing clients on an ongoing and periodic basis and review their activity.
• Request and assess additional documentation and identify potential AML and compliance risks.
• Escalate suspicious or higher-risk cases and maintain accurate client records in cooperation with Compliance, Risk, and operational teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in AML/KYC, client onboarding, or ongoing monitoring.
• Experience in an acquiring bank, payment institution, EMI, PSP, or another regulated financial institution.
• Experience working with corporate and B2B clients.
• Understanding of CDD/EDD, UBO identification, risk assessment, and transaction or client monitoring.
• English, Russian, and Latvian at C1 level required.
• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
