Workplace Project Manager

Location: New York, NY, United States. Hybrid collaboration model with managers and teams deciding which 10+ days per month employees come into the office. Domestic and international travel of up to 35% is required.

Annual base salary: $132,000–$165,000 USD for positions based in New York. Equity, bonuses, and commissions are excluded from this range.

What you will do

• Deliver a portfolio of concurrent tenant improvement and commercial construction projects from planning and design through construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Lead architects, engineers, cost consultants, project managers, PMO teams, contractors, and vendors, holding them accountable for scope, budget, schedule, and design intent.
• Define project charters, scopes, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, delivery plans, and cash flow requirements.
• Coordinate requirements and workflows with Workplace Operations, IT/AV, Security, Legal, and business stakeholders.
• Manage bids, contract negotiations, change control, project risks, payments, cost tracking, and variance reporting.
• Present project status, budget summaries, risk assessments, and corrective action plans to leadership while maintaining governance records and project documentation.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience managing interior tenant improvement and commercial construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience managing projects valued from $100K to $50MM or more, including estimating, cost control, change orders, procurement, scheduling, contract administration, and project accounting.
• Strong knowledge of interior construction systems including millwork, finishes, lighting, AV/IT, MEP, and specialty installations, with the ability to interpret architectural, MEP, and telecom drawings.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, external delivery partners, project risks, and complex stakeholder workflows.
• Proficiency with project management and construction documentation platforms, enterprise procurement and financial systems such as Oracle ERP, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, and Teams.

Nice to have

• PMP, CCM, PE, MRICS, or equivalent certification.
• Client-side owner’s representative or in-house corporate real estate experience in technology, financial services, fintech, or another fast-paced sector.
• Experience with international project delivery frameworks, outsourced PMO models, due diligence, lease review, or landlord/tenant coordination.
