Yield Development Engineer (Semiconductors)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States; hybrid work model with on-site and off-site work

What you will do

• Analyze manufacturing and experimental data to identify yield limiters and recommend process improvements.
• Develop statistical models, visualizations, dashboards, and process-development roadmaps.
• Combine large-scale data sources with coding, machine learning, and statistical methods to produce actionable insights.
• Collaborate with design, test, and process-development teams to debug yield issues.
• Perform fault isolation and failure analysis using ATE testing, DFx software, optical probing, logic simulation, and layout studies.
• Support new product introduction and manufacturing ramp readiness through experiments, measurement recipes, and yield-improvement tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or physical-science discipline with 6+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• Experience with engineering analysis, data analysis, and scripting for automation.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and JMP for big-data analysis and dashboard development.
• Understanding of logic or substrate process flows used in yield analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience in integration, yield analysis, LYA, failure analysis, test, defect metrology, or QNR.
• Experience connecting analytical results to process fundamentals and systematically solving yield challenges.
• Familiarity with wafer-level or package-assembly processes and related yield considerations.
