Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California

Annual base compensation: $130,000–$196,500

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale Data Marketplace capabilities across APIs, services, and user-facing workflows.
• Lead medium-to-large technical initiatives from design through production rollout.
• Drive architecture for marketplace discovery, activation, monetization, and partner integrations.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence across production systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, improve testing and documentation, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go or Python.
• Ability to contribute to backend-heavy or full-stack projects and drive initiatives from concept to launch.
• Strong communication, collaboration, testing, maintainability, and operational excellence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems, streaming, background job orchestration, and distributed data workflows.
• Experience in AdTech, MarTech, data marketplaces, privacy-conscious data products, or large-scale legacy modernization.
• Interest in AI-enabled product experiences, agentic workflows, or automated data discovery.
