Line Patroller (Deer Park, TX)

What you will do

• Patrol gas and liquids pipelines, compressor stations, process plants, storage facilities, and related assets.
• Locate and mark pipeline facilities before and during excavation and other encroachment activities.
• Conduct population density, leak detection, construction, excavation, and repair inspections.
• Coordinate damage prevention activities and oversee contractors, company personnel, and third parties.
• Complete mapping, documentation, as-built drawings, data entry, and compliance reports.
• Represent the company with landowners, public officials, emergency officials, contractors, and local organizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of compressor and pump stations, process plants, gas treatment, storage facilities, and gathering and transmission pipeline systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams, with basic computer and math skills.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers; a commercial driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to respond to after-hours callouts and emergencies, work shifts and overtime, travel as needed, and withstand demanding outdoor and physical conditions.
