Technician, Corrosion

Location: Blackwell, Oklahoma, United States; onsite work in a designated area of a natural gas pipeline system.

What you will do

• Install, monitor, test, maintain, and repair cathodic protection facilities, including anode ground beds, rectifiers, and remote monitors.
• Perform pipeline corrosion surveys, including pipe-to-soil, atmospheric, bond, casing, and rectifier surveys.
• Conduct above-ground surveys such as close-interval, DCVG, ACVG, hot spot, interference, and stray-current testing.
• Inspect exposed pipe and coating conditions, document findings, and maintain regulatory and company records.
• Manage internal corrosion probes and coupons, enter data in PCS, and perform MIC tests.
• Work with operations personnel, customers, consultants, vendors, and less-experienced personnel while following company procedures and O&M requirements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, related certification, or relevant work experience.
• Entry-level experience in corrosion-related work.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for company-required insurability.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to make independent decisions, solve problems analytically, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead others in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Previous pipeline experience.
• Corrosion training or work experience.
• Knowledge of CFR 192 regulations.
