Workday Technical Consultant (Workday)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the role is listed in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design complex calculated fields, advanced and composite reports, matrix reports, dashboards, and report-as-a-service integrations.
• Configure business processes, condition rules, approval routing, and role-based and segment-based security across Workday HCM and Finance.
• Develop Workday Extend applications and PRISM Analytics solutions using supported platform extensions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, finance, product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday configurations.
• Support tenant refreshes, regression testing, production troubleshooting, release adoption, and platform upgrades.
• Document configuration and security models, advise on Workday best practices, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least five years of Workday technical experience; the position listing specifies six or more years of experience.
• Deep expertise in Workday Report Writer, advanced and composite reports, calculated fields, business processes, condition rules, and Workday security.
• Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend, tenant management, and the Workday release process.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Workday Pro certifications.
• Workday Extend application development experience.
• PRISM data ingestion and modeling experience.
• Experience with multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials.
