Smart Manufacturing Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Saukville and Mequon, Wisconsin, United States

Family-owned metals manufacturing group operating businesses in steel, casting, wire, and iron and metal recycling.

What you will do

• Help expand AI vision safety systems.
• Assist with engineering practices for a plant robot.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Support or lead digital transformation projects across different business areas.
• Document and improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in mechanical, electrical, industrial, automation, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• At least sophomore-level standing.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a team, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate across functions.

Nice to have

• Enthusiasm for new technology and process improvement.
