Mechanical Engineering Intern (SolidWorks)

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering staff on active engineering projects.
• Develop problem statements, conceptualize solutions, and execute engineering plans.
• Perform tolerance, root-cause, return-on-investment, and structural analyses.
• Design plastic, machined, and sheet metal parts.
• Create testing and mechanical validation plans and conduct defined testing procedures.
• Update SolidWorks models and drawings and document technical project information.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with one to two years of engineering education completed.
• Hands-on experience through engineering, academic, or personal projects.
• At least one year of SolidWorks experience or equivalent CAD software experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent tools.
• Strong problem-solving, writing, documentation, speaking, and teamwork skills.
• Satisfactory background-check results and a negative drug-test result are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
