Placement Specialist Commercial Lines

What you will do

• Manage timelines and processes for new business and renewal insurance placements.
• Analyze exposures, loss data, coverage offers, and policy terms; identify coverage gaps and recommend improvements.
• Prepare property and casualty submissions, insurance specifications, applications, loss summaries, exposure schedules, and client profiles.
• Negotiate coverage terms with insurance carriers and wholesalers and prepare and present client proposals.
• Coordinate with Client Advisors, Account Service Teams, carrier partners, and Risk Resources to deliver tailored solutions.
• Use carrier systems and comparative rating tools, maintain market relationships, protect confidential information, and support special projects.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant insurance experience, with an emphasis on middle- to large-market placements.
• Experience with a broker or agency, including marketing large middle-market accounts to carriers.
• Strong knowledge of applicable insurance coverages and insurance markets.
• Current applicable insurance license and commitment to continuing education.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, prioritization, adaptability, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, and experience creating proposal presentation documents.

Nice to have

• Experience with Epic.
• College degree.
• Progress toward a professional designation such as CRM, CISR, CIC, AAI, ARM, or CPCU.
