Claims Associate Adjuster - PIP (REMOTE)

What you will do

• Support adjusters throughout the PIP claims lifecycle and help drive claims to timely conclusion.
• Respond to policyholder, claimant, injured-person, medical-provider, and stakeholder inquiries.
• Gather and verify missing information, maintain claim records, and prepare required filings and documentation.
• Draft correspondence and coordinate appraisers, attorneys, contractors, and other external vendors.
• Review and issue payments and invoices, provide billing instructions, and explain coding or documentation denials.
• Obtain HIPAA forms and medical records and assist with reimbursement from the MCCA for claims exceeding retention.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, medical billing, EOBs, HCFA/CMS-1500 forms, and coding practices.
• Ability to obtain required state licensing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with claims management software is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, investigation, data-entry accuracy, and attention to detail.
