Senior Project Engineer

Location: Site-based hybrid role requiring work 3+ days (60%+) per week from a hirify.global office or work location in Carlsbad, California; Germantown, Maryland; or Englewood, Colorado. US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Salary: $120,500–$190,000 annually. For specific work locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $149,500–$224,500 annually.

What you will do

• Support technical evaluations of platforms and technologies by documenting requirements, tracking testing, and summarizing results.
• Develop technical requirements, implementation plans, and engineering documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Investigate deployment and integration issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Lead assigned engineering projects and workstreams while tracking milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Analyze infrastructure utilization and asset information for capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and external vendors on testing, implementation, deployment, and process improvements.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in project engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure operations, technical project coordination, or a related technical field.
• Foundational knowledge of networking, server infrastructure, cloud platforms, security concepts, and deployment processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with infrastructure deployments, system integrations, operational support, and cross-functional technical projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Nice to have

• Experience in telecommunications, networking, cloud, or infrastructure operations environments.
• Exposure to capacity planning, asset lifecycle management, or infrastructure deployment activities.
• Experience working with vendors and geographically distributed teams.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project tracking and documentation tools.
• Interest in continuous improvement and process optimization.
