What you will do

  • Plan and coordinate material procurement to support production schedules and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering teams on end-to-end material planning workflows.
  • Use ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and procurement activities.
  • Monitor material usage, lead times, supplier performance, quality, delivery, and pricing.
  • Lead system and process improvement projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and planning accuracy.
  • Prepare and present material planning and inventory performance reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree, or a master’s degree plus three years of experience.
  • Typically 2+ years of related experience in material planning or a comparable field.
  • Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools.
  • Strong skills with ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL.
  • Material planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive.

Nice to have

  • Advanced supply chain or material planning certifications, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP.
  • Advanced degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or CIS.
  • Experience with Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or SAP.
