Senior Product Cybersecurity Technical Program Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; the selected candidate may be based anywhere in the country of work and is not expected to report to a GM worksite unless directed by their manager. The posting lists Milford, Michigan. Relocation benefits are available for qualified candidates.

What you will do

• Own product cybersecurity frameworks and maturity models to assess program health, identify gaps, and prioritize improvements.
• Coordinate high-value cybersecurity initiatives through technical analysis, stakeholder alignment, dependency management, and disciplined execution.
• Partner with Product Cybersecurity leaders to design and deliver internal cybersecurity services with a consulting mindset.
• Define and track KPIs, dashboards, workflows, operating rhythms, and governance mechanisms that improve program visibility and performance.
• Translate complex technical and organizational information into plans, decisions, executive updates, and actionable recommendations.
• Build a network of technical program managers to improve collaboration across shared priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience directly within a cybersecurity team or cybersecurity company.
• Experience in technical program management, consulting, deployment engineering, security engineering, or a related field.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks and maturity models such as NIST CSF or BSIMM.
• Experience coordinating complex initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups in a matrixed organization.
• Knowledge of program management methodologies, workflows, and engineering tools including Jira and Git or comparable platforms.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without GM immigration sponsorship; GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, embedded, connected-product, software-defined vehicle, or other complex product environments.
• Experience delivering cybersecurity services through an internal consulting or service-delivery model.
• Experience defining operational metrics, dashboards, or other mechanisms for measuring program health.
• Understanding of using AI to improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of high-fidelity work production.
• Hands-on cybersecurity experience or formal education in a related field.
