Senior IT Governance & Compliance Manager (AI GRC)

Location: Required to be based at the Chicago headquarters or Bellevue office, United States; travel may be required for workshops, customer meetings, and company gatherings.

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 per year plus variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive the maturity, scalability, and operational effectiveness of enterprise IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
• Own the third-party risk management program, including vendor and subprocessor assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
• Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations on enterprise customer security inquiries and automated questionnaire responses.
• Advise Legal, Operations, Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders on cybersecurity contracts, vendor agreements, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead preparation for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and recurring compliance attestations while maintaining security policies and risk frameworks.
• Evaluate AI-enabled tools, automated evidence collection, and GRC platform intelligence to reduce manual compliance work.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in IT governance, risk and compliance, IT auditing, or cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Experience using AI tools, LLMs, or automated GRC platforms for evidence collection, vendor risk, or security questionnaires.
• Strong consultative communication skills and the ability to explain complex risk topics to executives and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work from the Chicago or Bellevue office and travel as needed for in-person engagements.

Nice to have

• CISA, CRISC, CISM, or CISSP certification.
• Experience administering or building workflows in modern GRC platforms, ideally hirify.global Risk Cloud.
• Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, or risk evaluation in AWS cloud environments.
