Senior Network Engineer - DoW

Location: On-site at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO; Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL; or Fort Belvoir, VA. Remote/telework is not available. No relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $170,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.

What you will do

• Configure and administer Cisco Nexus Spine-Leaf fabrics, EVPN-VxLAN overlays, Multi-Site fabrics, vPC domains, and underlay routing.
• Deploy VMware NSX gateways, distributed firewalls, and policy-driven micro-segmentation for virtualized mission workloads.
• Maintain F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM appliances, virtual servers, load-balancing pools, health monitors, iRules, and SSL/TLS decryption profiles.
• Deploy Versa SD-WAN edge infrastructure and configure secure tunnels, traffic steering, QoS policies, and security boundaries.
• Administer Infoblox IPAM, DNS, and DHCP services and automate network changes through APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, contractor, and government stakeholders on designs, integration events, production cutovers, and operational documentation.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of general full-time experience, including at least 6 years of directly related experience and at least 1 year in a management or leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, EVPN-VxLAN, VMware NSX, F5 BIG-IP, Infoblox DDI/IPAM, and Versa SD-WAN or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash for infrastructure automation, validation, and compliance remediation.
• Current DoW 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+ CE, or CISSP.
• Active DoW Secret clearance with verified eligibility for Top Secret clearance, or an active Top Secret clearance, is required.
• Ability to work on-site at one of the listed U.S. defense installations; remote work is not available.

Nice to have

• Active DoW Top Secret clearance.
• CCNP Enterprise or Data Center, VCP-NV or VCAP-NV, F5-CTS, Versa SD-WAN, or Infoblox CDCA certification.
• Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency, the IRES contract, or secure DISA networks.
