Network Engineer (Enterprise Network Modernization)

Location: Salt Lake City/Midvale, Utah; 5 days onsite

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient, and highly available enterprise networks across data centers, branches, and cloud environments.
• Architect modern data center networks using Spine-Leaf topologies, Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing environments using BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, SD-WAN, enterprise switching, wireless, and Cisco Meraki technologies.
• Develop network automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, performance management, capacity planning, root cause analysis, and production incident resolution using observability and network analysis tools.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, infrastructure, application, and architecture teams; mentor engineers and provide technical leadership during critical events.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Spine-Leaf architecture, VXLAN/EVPN, Cisco Nexus, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, enterprise switching, and wireless networking.
• Experience developing network automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions with Python, Ansible, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with network troubleshooting, production support, high availability, resiliency, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and enterprise security.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Salt Lake City or Midvale, Utah.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Cisco Meraki experience.
• Networking experience in GCP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus, or Wireshark.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing experience.
• CCNP or CCIE certification.
