Operations Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote, US-based, with regular travel to project sites and the corporate office

What you will do

• Lead Portfolio Managers and Coordinators, setting KPIs tied to production, availability, reliability, and financial outcomes.
• Own portfolio-level performance and create time-bound recovery plans for underperforming assets.
• Manage Field Service Providers against SLAs, performance guarantees, safety expectations, and measurable ROI.
• Ensure work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities are completed quickly, accurately, and with verified results.
• Own operational spending decisions, including CapEx versus OpEx justification and production-impact analysis.
• Align Asset Management, Engineering, Finance, and O&M execution while leading portfolio onboarding and transitions.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of experience in solar, BESS, or renewable energy operations.
• Proven experience leading high-performance teams and managing direct reports.
• Deep knowledge of solar and BESS systems, OEMs, warranties, RMAs, PI, availability, and operational performance drivers.
• Experience managing third-party O&M providers at scale.
• Strong financial and operational decision-making skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the US and travel regularly to project sites and the corporate office.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience onboarding and transitioning portfolios from EPCs, owners, or previous O&M providers.
• Familiarity with monitoring, CMMS, and BI platforms such as PowerTrack, Maximo, and Power BI.
