What you will do

• Source and originate Ready-to-Build solar and BESS projects through developers, landowners, and industry networks.
• Lead technical, grid, planning, and commercial due diligence on acquisition opportunities.
• Drive transactions from initial discussions through negotiation and closing.
• Assess grid connection, permitting, land, and construction-readiness risks.
• Lead selected greenfield solar and BESS projects from site identification through Ready-to-Build.
• Develop grid connection strategies with AEMO, DNSPs, and TNSPs while managing relationships across the Australian market.

Requirements

• Experience in utility-scale solar, BESS, or renewable energy development, acquisitions, or M&A.
• Track record of originating, assessing, or closing renewable energy project transactions.
• Strong understanding of Australian grid connection processes, including AEMO, DNSPs, and state approvals.
• Technical and commercial understanding of solar PV and battery storage projects.
• High agency, strong initiative, and the ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, early-stage environment.
• A strong network of Australian developers, landowners, and industry stakeholders is a plus.
