Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $86,500–$134,400 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify commercial or end-user applications.
• Write code and perform software testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis and contribute to production support, quality engineering, and test automation.
• Document processes, designs, test results, installation procedures, and maintenance activities.
• Gather system requirements from users and stakeholders and communicate technical information and project status.
• Develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for software projects when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with software analysis, design, programming, debugging, modification, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Experience with software testing principles, quality assurance, Agile practices, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, lead initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and use Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools.

Nice to have

• Experience writing automation tools with Selenium, Java, REST APIs, Python, or Groovy.
• Experience reviewing code, test designs, and test cases.
• Experience supporting installation and maintenance procedures or commercial applications.
