Product Builder (Returnship)

Location: Fully onsite in Pleasanton, California, for the full 12-week program with a 40-hour-per-week commitment.

What you will do

• Complete AI-native training and apply current AI coding and agent tools to active product work.
• Take customer or business problems from prototype through build, hardening, release, and iteration.
• Deliver minimum viable products and beta releases to real users and improve them through feedback.
• Own scope, timelines, quality, maintainability, test coverage, security, and fitness for purpose.
• Present progress in weekly demos and communicate risks, decisions, and next steps.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional product pod, support early-career builders, and apply standards from engineering, product, design, learning, program management, or business systems.

Requirements

• Typically three or more years of professional experience in engineering, product, design, learning, program management, business systems, or a related discipline.
• A career break from paid work, typically two or more years, with readiness to return through hands-on product delivery.
• Evidence of prior scope, such as products delivered, outcomes owned, or teams and stakeholders influenced.
• Readiness to retrain on AI coding and agent tools, work at pace, and take responsibility for delivered work.
• Professional judgment, customer empathy, clear communication, collaboration, and openness to feedback.
• A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, plus availability for the full onsite 12-week commitment in Pleasanton, California.

• Experience in professional education, edtech, ecommerce, B2B SaaS, or regulated markets.
