AI Product Engineer Intern (Spring 2027, Part-time) (Healthcare)

Location: On-site in Chicago, Illinois, or Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA. Part-time work from January through June 2027, up to 29 hours per week. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Develop software and Generative AI agents supporting healthcare products and client services.
• Own feature and product requests from initial concept through delivery.
• Perform self-QA, product testing, performance tuning, and bug resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality based on feedback.
• Design documentation for features and user workflows.
• Contribute to technical design, product direction, and strategic product promotion.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in mathematics, computer science, or a related field; other majors may be considered with demonstrated software development aptitude.
• Experience with software and AI development, including relevant side projects.
• Analytical, organizational, communication, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies, work independently, handle ambiguity, and articulate technical ideas clearly.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or other AI agent tools.
• Availability for on-site work in Chicago or Brookfield, Wisconsin, from January through June 2027.
