AI Product Engineer Intern Spring 2027 (Full-time) - CMH Health

Location: On-site in Chicago, Illinois or Brookfield, Wisconsin, USA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship.

Salary: $21.00–$46.00 per hour overall. For candidates in specified higher-rate jurisdictions, including Illinois, the range is $23.00–$46.00 per hour; in other locations, it is $21.00–$37.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop software and Generative AI agents supporting healthcare products and client services.
• Own feature and product requests from initial definition through delivery.
• Perform self-QA, product testing, performance tuning, and bug resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and improve implementation quality based on feedback.
• Design documentation for features and user workflows.
• Contribute to technical design, product direction, and strategic promotion of new products.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in mathematics, computer science, or a related field, with demonstrated interest and aptitude in software development.
• Available for full-time on-site work from January through June 2027 in Chicago or Brookfield.
• Experience with software and AI development, including real-world side projects.
• Analytical, organizational, communication, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn new technologies quickly, communicate changes clearly, and operate effectively with ambiguity.
• U.S. work authorization without immigration support or sponsorship from hirify.global is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or other AI agent tools.
• Study in an alternative discipline combined with demonstrated software development aptitude.
