Staff Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Remote within the United States, limited to candidates located in the EST or CST time zones

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack features across C#/.NET services and APIs, TypeScript/Angular interfaces, and relational databases.
• Lead technical design within a team or service area, break down larger work, and write design documents.
• Build and maintain healthcare data integrations using HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI standards.
• Modernize legacy screens and functionality by migrating them to new services and front-end components with automated tests.
• Improve code quality, data models, application and database performance, security, accessibility, and production reliability.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, and engineering colleagues.

Requirements

• Hands-on full-stack software engineering experience with C#/.NET, TypeScript, Angular, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing, testing, reviewing, and supporting production software and database queries.
• Knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards, including HL7, FHIR, and X12 EDI.
• Ability to apply secure coding practices, protect PHI, follow HIPAA requirements, and build WCAG-compliant interfaces.
• Must be located within the EST or CST time zones in the United States.
• Ability to lead technical work, mentor engineers, and communicate requirements, estimates, progress, and risks clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating functionality incrementally.
• Experience using AI coding tools responsibly while reviewing and testing generated code.
