Construction Manager (Solar/BESS)

Location: United States, flexible, NY; generally onsite 5 days a week with travel required

Salary: $108,000–$135,150 per year, plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Manage utility-scale solar and battery energy storage construction delivered by third-party EPC contractors.
• Monitor onsite progress, safety, schedule, budget, scope, permits, QA/QC, and construction milestones.
• Prepare and manage project execution plans, schedules, kickoff meetings, closeout activities, and remediation plans.
• Coordinate with landowners, EPC contractors, engineering, safety, environmental authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Review contracts, change orders, invoices, deliverables, progress reports, and construction documentation.
• Track and resolve punch-list items from mechanical completion through final completion.

Requirements

• Must be willing to travel and generally work onsite 5 days a week.
• At least 5 years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, and/or substation construction management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, construction methods, building products, regulations, and quality standards.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to perform physically rigorous site inspections in varying climates and environmental conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to quickly learn changing software and technology.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• FAA Part 107 license.
• Experience with Procore, drone-based progress photography, and Google Earth.
