Humana Healthcare Research Fall 2026 Internship (Healthcare Research)

Location: Remote nationwide in the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay range: $37,440–$96,800 per year for full-time-equivalent employment; individual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Contribute to quantitative healthcare research studies focused on pharmacy outcomes and policy.
• Support study conceptualization, literature reviews, proposal writing, and protocol development.
• Execute statistical analyses according to study protocols under the supervision of experienced research scientists.
• Report, interpret, synthesize, and present research findings to hirify.global stakeholders.
• Contribute to scientific manuscript development.

Requirements

• Must be a final-year student or recent PhD graduate in pharmacy, outcomes research, epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, health economics, public health, or health services research.
• Knowledge of quantitative health outcomes research, analytics, and statistical techniques.
• Knowledge of causal inference or relevant coursework in quasi-experimental methods, such as propensity scores, inverse probability treatment weighting, interrupted time series, regression discontinuity, instrumental variables, or causal mediation.
• Ability to commit to part-time employment for 16–20 weeks beginning in November 2026.
• Collaborative research experience, proficiency in at least one statistical coding language, and interest in healthcare research.
• Remote work requires a dedicated workspace protecting member PHI/HIPAA information and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Experience with R or SAS for data management and statistical analysis.
• Experience using claims databases or electronic health records for observational studies and real-world evidence generation.
• Scientific writing or manuscript authorship experience.
• Interest in continuing to develop research methods skills.
