Actuarial Intern, Summer 2027 (Tampa Health)

What you will do

• Review, organize, and analyze statistical data.
• Develop and use actuarial models for healthcare applications.
• Analyze healthcare costs and utilization data.
• Implement software solutions under the supervision of actuaries.
• Assist analysts and consultants with developing, checking, and using actuarial models.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field.
• Planned graduation in 2027 or later and a GPA of 3.5 or above.
• At least one actuarial exam passed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, time management, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong work ethic, client focus, integrity, and interest in professional development in the actuarial field.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAS and VBA programming.
