What you will do

• Own and reorganize the existing Playwright suite of approximately 680 tests and extensive backend coverage.
• Remove duplicate and flaky tests, establish framework standards, and maintain automation as the product evolves.
• Build reliable coverage, pass/fail, and flaky-test metrics mapped to product routes and features.
• Scale the Buildkite CI pipeline and address resource limits affecting the sharded stress-test job.
• Define automation boundaries with Engineering and FDE teams and integrate performance results into shared reporting.
• Extend automation into Transform and client-specific configuration testing, while mentoring QA Engineers and integrating failures with Linear bug reports.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and owning test automation frameworks at scale.
• Deep experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, including framework design and CI/CD integration.
• Ability to read and reason about application code.
• Experience diagnosing flaky tests and designing reliable automated test coverage.
• Experience establishing test coverage visibility and reporting where no system previously existed.
• Methodical, standards-driven approach focused on frameworks and reusable patterns.
