Senior Counsel, Commercial & Government Contracts (Quantum Computing)

Location: Remote; U.S. state bar membership required

Company

hirify.global designs and builds superconducting quantum processors in its own fabrication facility and delivers quantum computing through cloud and on-premises systems.

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements for quantum system sales, on-premises hardware, cloud and QCS access, maintenance, support, and partnerships.
• Manage supplier and procurement agreements covering fabrication, foundry relationships, specialized equipment, components, SaaS, and facilities.
• Structure R&D collaborations, joint development, sponsored research, and licensing transactions with the IP team.
• Lead federal contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, subcontracts, and teaming arrangements with agencies and national laboratories.
• Advise on FAR, DFARS, cybersecurity, supply-chain, domestic sourcing, representations, and certifications.
• Build contract templates, playbooks, approval workflows, and training programs for business and program teams.

Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including meaningful in-house experience.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, preferably for hardware, semiconductor, deep-tech, or enterprise technology companies.
• Hands-on experience with federal government contracts, FAR/DFARS, subcontracting, and data rights.
• Ability to create structure in a fast-moving environment and communicate legal risk clearly to engineers and executives.

Nice to have

• Law firm training combined with in-house experience.
• Experience with OTAs, CRADAs, SBIR/STTR, and cooperative agreements.
• Familiarity with EAR/ITAR, international transactions, and public company work.
• Curiosity about quantum computing technology.
