Focus on operating mechanical, pneumatic, cryogenic, and hydraulic systems, interpreting engineering documentation, and maintaining safety in confined and elevated work areas.
Location: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States; on-site role. The schedule is 4/10: four 10-hour days per week, with flexibility to work all shifts and weekends and travel up to 10%.

What you will do
- Support the assembly, testing, and delivery of large rocket engines and components.
- Prepare rocket engines and components for testing, perform functional testing, and complete post-test processing.
- Work with technicians, quality assurance personnel, contractors, customers, and related technical disciplines.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical manuals.
- Operate and maintain large-scale rocket engine test facility equipment and use mechanical measuring and testing devices.
- Perform inspections and handle equipment such as forklifts, cranes, hoists, and man lifts when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree/2 years of post-secondary education with at least 2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, hand tools, measuring and testing devices, and high-pressure pneumatic, cryogenic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined areas and to learn and follow detailed facility-operation and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to pass an eye exam and obtain certifications including confined-space entry, respirator, lockout/tagout, cryogenic safety, and process safety management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain NASA Personnel Reliability Program security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
- Ability to complete required background checks and pre-employment substance-abuse testing where permitted by law.
Nice to have
- Aerospace background with an A&P license or military-equivalent proficiency.
- Experience operating computers and specialized graphical user interface software.
- Strong communication, teamwork, independent working, and attention-to-detail skills.
