Location: Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, United States. On-site work with 2nd shift or weekend shift schedules.

What you will do
- Build facility systems, including tubing, piping, and mechanical structures.
- Support rocket engine hardware processing, checkout, and test operations.
- Operate high-pressure gas and cryogenic systems using work instructions and appropriate PPE.
- Perform facility checkout, troubleshooting, and issue resolution while maintaining safe communication during testing.
- Collaborate with GSE teams, technicians, and engineers on facility design, installation, activation, and test processes.
Requirements
- Mechanical Technician II: 2+ years of facility operations experience in aerospace, oil and gas, coal, shipping, or steel.
- Mechanical Technician III: 5+ years of facility operations experience in aerospace, oil and gas, coal, shipping, or steel.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be willing to work 2nd shift Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–1:30 a.m., and/or weekend shift Thursday–Sunday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- For U.S. office roles, must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted.
Nice to have
- Experience operating or building rocket engine test stands or large industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of pressure-system and cleanliness standards such as NASA, U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense, or ASME standards.
- Technical degree, license, or certification such as A&P.
- Experience with rocket engines, launch vehicles, liquid oxygen, or liquid methane facilities.
- Knowledge of valves, fittings, flanges, construction materials, troubleshooting, and corrective work instructions.
