Production Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite production environment

What you will do

• Assemble complex electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies using diagrams, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Inspect and test assembled products, troubleshoot basic assembly issues, and document production activities and discrepancies.
• Maintain and calibrate assembly tools and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment in potentially hazardous or loud environments.
• Train and mentor junior production technicians while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.
• Identify process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of technician experience or experience in a related field; a relevant higher degree may substitute for experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
• Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and manufacturing principles.
• Experience with electronic or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including basic assembly, soldering, and connector skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government trade authorizations.

Nice to have

• IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD certifications.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• OSHA 10-Hour Training certification.
• Experience in aerospace and defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. military.
