Specialist, Systems Engineer (Defense Tech)

What you will do

• Generate and manage system- and subsystem-level requirements using DOORS and other requirements management tools.
• Review and decompose new or changed requirements into the system baseline.
• Maintain bidirectional traceability between customer requirements, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and verification artifacts.
• Prepare technical content for design reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, technical data packages, and status materials.
• Create verification matrices and support system verification, validation, testing, and analysis activities.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines, program management, customers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and achieve technical closure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline with at least 4 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Alternatively, a master’s or doctoral degree in a related technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles across the development lifecycle.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and other technical interchange meetings.
• Test and integration experience.
• RF and SATCOM communications experience.
