Systems Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid environment with occasional travel; U.S. citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

What you will do

• Perform advanced requirements engineering, systems integration, verification and validation, and model-based systems engineering.
• Lead system and decision analysis, technical planning, and technical risk management.
• Support architecture and design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Administer significant project responsibilities and contribute to complex systems development.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to drive project success.
• Guide and mentor junior and less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with systems modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation and allocation, systems design, systems integration, technical risk management, and V&V principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
• Aerospace and defense industry background.
• Experience with DOORS, Cameo, MATLAB, or similar requirements management and systems modeling tools.
• INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification.
• Experience with trade studies, technical performance measurements, Agile methodologies, or Scrum Master certification.
